Online installation - Hosted site

Could you please tell me how to install the status indicator to a hosted web site?
I need a java file and some html or php or maybe as a complete php program?

I have tried uploading the status. zip file (expanded) and run it but although the control panel runs there
is no code to display anything?
I was hoping that the status could be run on my website and ping my account for my status. That way it wouldn't matter what pc I was on or where, I would still be available?

I would like to offer the status as a service to others on my hosted account.
Also there is no config file in the status.zip and no sample code, could this not be added for simplicity?

How come your status is not shown on your site? The icons in the top left corner I thought was you status, but it is just an image. I Like the site changes it looks much cleaner and runs very well.

Thanks for your help with this.

status.jar

The application file is called status.jar and should not be unzipped. Online Status Indicator is a Java application and you need shell access (telnet/ssh) in order to start the application.

Please see the Hosting or the FAQ about Hosting pages for more information. In these pages you can also find a sample status.conf file and readme.txt.

The reason why the icons on this page are not live is simply that I don't want to expose my personal messenger accounts to everyone. It will simply be too many people who wants to talk to me so I try to keep the communication here on this web site.

Status.jar

The file downloaded when the link Status.jar is followed is Status.zip not Status.jar so the instructions can't be followed, the zip file does not contain status.jar

The browser re-names the

The browser re-names the file for some reason. After you have downloaded it you'll have to manually re-name it to status.jar.
