Online status lag in status update

after i logged on the MSN, i refreshed my website to check, but it is still offline status despite of me refreshing every 1/2 min. And it will only refresh the online/offline status after 3 mins...
This goes the same for offline... i offline at 1000hrs for example.. and my website will show online status until 1003hrs then it then became offline..
Just to know if this status refreshing can be further improve.. thanks!
